Lloyds Banking Group cuts another 1,200 of the 12,000 jobs it aims to shed by end-2017 



Lloyds Banking Group has cut 1,230 jobs in its group operations, retail, marketing and finance divisions. 
The losses are part of a previously announced three-year strategy to dismiss 12,000 workers in total by the end of 2017.
It is understood that today's announcement brings that total to roughly 9,000 so far - meaning there is still 3,000 workers to go by the end of next year. 
Unite said the job losses were 'horrific', adding that the bank's slow-moving cuts agenda was counter-productive to its aim of being a successful business.
