Living near Aston Villa or Birmingham City should be good for property prices - but it isn't



Living near a large stadium will normally raise the price of your home by large sum - with football and cricket grounds adding tens of thousands of pounds to nearby property prices across the UK
This isn’t the case in Birmingham, however.
Research by online estate agent Hatched suggests that properties in the same postcode as Edgbaston cricket ground and Villa Park sell for well below the ONS national average of £219,000, fetching £173,056 and £104,178 respectively, according to data from last November.
