Liverpool Women’s Hospital: Why we need to move to protect mums and babies of the future

The top doctor at Liverpool Women’s Hospital says patients could suffer if it doesn’t relocate.
Dr Andrew Loughney, who grew up in Toxteth, warned there will be “significant gaps” in services if the hospital stays at its current site.
His comments come after more than 1,000 people marched through the streets as part of a Save Liverpool Women’s Hospital rally.
The NHS says the Women’s needs to move from its current Toxteth home so it is alongside another major hospital to share experts and equipment.
