Liverpool's Lion Tavern 'could reopen next month'
 

The owners of a historic Liverpool pub that’s been closed for four months say they want to reopen it by next month.
The Lion Tavern, on the corner of Moorfields and Tithebarn Street, closed in June for the first time in 180 years.
Landlords Sean Porter and Michael Black were in dispute with owner Punch Taverns over rents and leases at the Lion and at sister pub the Cross Keys,in Earle Street, which also closed.
Last month Punch vowed to open the pubs “as soon as possible” .
