Liverpool council have spent over £300k on settlements that silence staff
 

Liverpool council has spent more than £300,000 on settlements with staff which include “compromise agreements”, an ECHO investigation has found.
Over the past five years, 15 settlements were signed by ex-staff.
They received a total of £305,813 from the settlements, a figure which often includes compensation or releasing pension funds early.
Payments made to departing staff range from £3,058 to one staff member in March 2014 to one member of staff receiving over £40,000.
