Listening to music before bed can actually help you beat insomnia, scientists find



Here’s another great excuse to shove your headphones on and turn the volume up to 11 – music actually helps you sleep.
Sadly, Extreme Noise Terror and DJ Assault probably won’t do it – the NHS recommends ‘soft’ music (boo).
A study found that people who listened to 45 minutes of music before bed saw the time it took them to reach restful REM sleep get shorter over three weeks.
