Lincoln City rivals York City in turmoil after appointing sacked McNamara as caretaker boss



Lincoln City's National League rivals York City appear to be in chaos after sacking manager Jackie McNamara – only to then appoint him as caretaker boss.
Following the Minstermen's 6-1 drubbing at previously winless Guiseley last Tuesday, the club issued a statement saying McNamara would tender his resignation "if the team fails to gain a positive result at Braintree Town on Saturday".
York subsequently drew 1-1 with Braintree Town which prompted more talks between McNamara and chairman Jason McGill.
