Lights out everyone! Reykjavik turns off its street lamps to watch the spectacular Northern Lights 

Tourists from around the world flock to Iceland every year in the hope of catching even a fleeting glimpse of the Northern Lights.
Watching the spectacular natural light show is a perennial bucket list item, but for those living in built-up areas of Northern climes, the aurora can be lost in the haze of urban life.
Yesterday, officials in the Icelandic capital helped its residents reconnect with nature by dimming the city’s street lamps so people could catch a better glimpse of the green shimmering skylights.
