Lift off! Soyuz rocket carrying an American and two Russians blasts off to the International Space Station



Three new crew members are en route to the International Space Station after blasting off from Kazakhstan this morning.
A Soyuz rocket carrying two Russians and an American launched from the Russian-operated Baikonur facility in the steppes of Kazakhstan at 2:05 pm local time (9:05 am BST).
The Soyuz MS-02 space capsule is set to dock at the space outpost in two days' time, delivering the new crew - Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Ryzhikov and Andrey Borisenko and NASA astronaut Shane Kimbrough.
