Lidl is going to charge even more for its plastic bags
 

The cost of a plastic bag at Lidl is going to almost double from next July.
In a move towards being more ‘environmentally friendly’, the budget supermarket is going to scrap its single-use 5p bags entirely and only sell 9p bags.
This will save an estimated 63million plastic bags every year – the equivalent of 760 tonnes of plastic.
