Leicester Green Party mayoral candidate switches to Jeremy Corbyn's Labour

The Greens' former Leicester mayoral candidate has switched to Labour, saying he has been inspired by Jeremy Corbyn's direction for the party.
Last year, Tim Grayson was campaigning against Labour and seeking to oust Sir Peter Soulsby from City Hall.

Mr Grayson, 29, who is the poet in residence at Belvoir Castle, joined the Greens in November 2014, shortly before being selected to stand against Sir Peter in the mayoral race. He came fourth with 8,637 votes.
