Leicester City Ladies FC, the UK's oldest female club, celebrates 50th birthday



Women's football in Leicester is celebrating its own historic landmark achievement this year – equally precious to those involved as that of Claudio Ranieri and his players.
Leicester City's Ladies Football Club – a grassroots club, distinct from the official Leicester City Women's FC – has been flying the flag for the women's game in the city for the past 50 years.
Three of the club's original players joined female footballers of all ages at a celebration dinner party at The King Power Stadium.
