'Leaf it out' - Neighbour's anger over tree-mendous Metro line problem
 

A neighbour living next to the Metro line in North Tyneside has spoken of his tree-mendous problem.
Retired Brian Routledge said the height of seven 80ft sycamore trees on an embankment outside his house has deprived his garden of light.
He has asked owners Nexus to chop a bit off the top - but the company has refused.
Brian, of Whitfield Drive, said: “For a period of over three years I have been asking them to reduce the height of the trees.
“They are 80ft above my south-facing garden and a distance of just 50ft from the house, conservatory, and greenhouse.
