Last orders at the Oyster Catcher: The hub of a community



It is fair to say that The Oyster Catcher has always had a bit of a reputation.
But to the people of Leasowe it used to be a vital hub in the community that helped to raise money for local kids, offered a community spirit often lamented as missing by politicians and brought the residents of the estate together in a way that is hard to replicate.
The owners of the establishment (since rebranded as Brambles) have called time on its 55-year reign as Leasowe's local pub for local people.
