North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has consolidated his family’s power by promoting his sister to be an alternate member of the politburo, the top decision-making body that decides state affairs.
Computer graduate-turned-propagandist Kim Yo Jong - reportedly in her late 20s or early 30s - is considered “the brains” behind Kim Jong Un’s “carefully constructed public image”, The Guardian says.
