Kilwinning Rangers boss Chris Strain leaps to defence of players ahead of Hampden inquiry into St Roch's shame game
 

Kilwinning Rangers boss Chris Strain has vowed to "vehemently defend" his players at an SJFA inquiry into the shocking scenes at Saturday’s Scottish Junior cup clash against St Roch’s.
Both clubs will be summoned to Hampden to explain the ugly scenes at James McGrory Park that saw two players allegedly attacked by fans, another racially abused and fighting break out between rival supporters.
The trouble flared after Kilwinning defender Isaac Kerr and St Roch’s midfielder John Sweeney were sent off together following an off-the-ball clash with just five minutes left to play.
