"Killer clown" craze is giving us a bad name, says Merseyside's Mr Trix



A Merseyside clown says pranksters dressing up as “killer clowns” are giving his profession a bad name – and it’s no laughing matter.
John Nixon, 73, from Freshfield , has worked as children’s entertainer Mr Trix the Magic Clown for 25 years, and said it was already difficult to have a career in live entertainment.
Mr Nixon, who started his career as a magician, said he toned down his clown make-up several years ago after realising some children and adults found it scary.
