Kevin Bishop set for a longer stretch as revived Porridge earns full series



A full series of popular BBC One show Porridge has been commissioned following the success of its one-off revival earlier this year.
The BBC has announced that production of six episodes will begin in January 2017.
The show's original writers, Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais, will script the new series.
Actor and comedian Kevin Bishop will return as Nigel "Fletch" Fletcher, the grandson of Ronnie Barker's famous character, Norman Stanley Fletcher.
