Indie favourites the Kaiser Chiefs brought Manchester’s Olympic parade to life after stepping in to save the day at the eleventh hour.
Frontman Ricky Wilson was given just half an hour to get ready for the trip to Manchester after X-Factor star Olly Murs unexpectedly dropped out of the Albert Square show on Monday morning.
He sacrificed his first day off in months - and a trip to a safari park with his girlfriend - to welcome Britain’s Olympic and Paralympic heroes to the city in style.
