Justin Rose to take eight-week break from golf as Olympic champion looks to rest back injury following busy summer schedule

Justin Rose is to take an eight-week break from golf as the 36-year-old looks to prolong his career following an intense summer schedule.
Rose, who suffered with a back problem at THE PLAYERS Championship earlier this year, nonetheless went on to claim Olympic gold in Rio this summer before being a part of Europe's Ryder Cup defeat by the USA at Hazeltine.
The heavy workload has taken its toll on Rose, his enforced spell on the sidelines to give his back a rest meaning he will now miss next week's British Masters, a tournament he won in 2002.
