Just one reported rape in 18 ends in a conviction in Lincolnshire

Only one reported rape in 18 in Lincolnshire results in a conviction, new figures reveal.
Police-recorded data and figures from the Crown Prosecution Service reveal that there were 362 rapes reported in Lincolnshire in 2015-16 - but only 20 people were convicted of the crime.
The low number of convictions is due in part to the fact that only 32 people were charged with rape in the county last year.
However, this still means that more than a third of prosecutions for rape in the area were unsuccessful.
