Just one in 10 rapes reported in Derbyshire leads to a conviction, new figures reveal
 

Only one in 10 rapes reported to police in Derbyshire results in a conviction, new statistics have found. The information, from police-recorded data and figures from the Crown Prosecution Service, also revealed that more than a third of rapes are against boys and girls who were aged 16 and under.
Derbyshire Police's conviction rates are above the national average and figures for the first part of the year see the force come out top of the 43 in England and Wales for offenders that are brought to justice.
