‘Jurgen Klopp dreamed of succeeding Sir Alex Ferguson as Manchester United manager’
 

Jurgen Klopp’s dream was to manage Manchester United before he joined Liverpool, according to the German’s coaching mentor Eckhard Krautzun.
Krautzun had managed Klopp in the final stages of his playing career at Mainz and often discussed match strategies and tactics with the Liverpool boss in preparation for life on the touchline.
Klopp ended up replacing Krautzun as Mainz head coach in 2001 and ended up staying at the German club for seven years before joining Borussia Dortmund.
And Krautzun has revealed that Klopp had his eye on succeeding Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford.
