Journalist who lost ability to walk after land mine explosion during Bosnian War writes book on experiences
 

BADLY injured by a roadside bomb on the war-ravaged streets of central Bosnia, foreign correspondent Kevin Sullivan was in shock, a victim of the conflict he had been covering.
What he didn’t know as he lay on the rubble-strewn street was that his legs were so badly injured he would have to learn to walk again.
The journalist was pulled from the mangled wreckage of the Reuters van by locals before being flown by the RAF to Britain, where he was treated at Glasgow’s Victoria Infirmary.
