Join migration watch and see birds flock



Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve (NNR) has put together a series of events to celebrate the amazing spectacle of bird migration in autumn and winter.
The reserve, which stretches from Cheswick Black Rocks in the north to Budle Bay in the south, is vitally important to many different bird species. Come autumn there are up 50,000 birds – including half the world’s population of light-bellied Brent geese, who fly in from the high Arctic to use the reserve to feed and rest over the winter months.
