John Walsh charged after armed robbery at Sinfin convenience store
 

Police in Derby have charged a man in connection with an armed robbery in Sinfin.
John Patrick Walsh was last night charged with robbery and possessing a bladed knife and is due to appear before magistrates in the city today.
It is alleged he robbed Sinfin Convenience Store shortly after 6am on Wednesday. Walsh, 41, of Cope Close, Sinfin, is alleged to have entered the shop, in Kingsley Street, and approached the counter. He then is alleged to have threatened the shopkeeper with a knife before demanding money.
