John Hughes the latest to pull out of running for St Mirren job
 

JOHN HUGHES has ruled himself out of the race to become the new boss of St Mirren .
Record Sport Online can reveal that the Buddies new owner Gordon Scott and the Paisley board had made an approach to Hughes with a view to becoming Alex Rae 's successor.
However, the former Falkirk, Hibernian, Livingston, Hartlepool and Inverness boss has knocked back the opportunity to become the FIFTH St Mirren manager in just two and a half years.
Hughes joins Neil Warnock and Billy Davies in knocking back the chance to succeed Rae.
