Johanna Konta moves up to tenth in the world: Edges closer to season-ending WTA finals
 

It is the showcase event for the very best of the best, the top eight women in the world and as it stands this morning, Konta is within striking distance of claiming her ticket.
She is 10th in the race to Singapore, 273 points behind Carla Suarez Navarro, who is eighth. And today the two meet in the third round of the Dongfeng Motor Wuhan Open in China. If Konta wins, she can start to make up ground on the Spaniard and edge even closer to the finals.
