Johanna Konta humbled to become first British woman since 1984 to reach world's top ten
 

Konta enthused: “I know I’ve achieved something good when I’m mentioned in the same sentence as Jo. It’s really humbling.
“I think it’s my application towards every match which has given me the consistency I needed to get here.
“I fight for every point and I don’t treat wins against the best as any different from other wins.” 
The landmark caps a sensational rise to the pinnacle of the women’s game for Konta, who was outside the world’s top 150 just 15 months ago.
