Joey Barton isn't needed at Rangers because they are much better without him says legend Ian Durrant



IAN DURRANT last night insisted Rangers are better off without Joey Barton.
Ibrox legend Durrant is convinced Mark Warburton’s men are a much improved team without Barton – who has been suspended by the club and is almost certainly on his way out – and that recent performances prove he isn’t needed.
Durrant, who left his role as Rangers Under-20 coach in the summer, reckons the Ibrox midfield is a much more solid unit with Andy Halliday in the holding role that was Barton’s before the bust-up between the pair in the wake of the 5-1 drubbing by Celtic on September 10.
