Joel Osteen has a megachurch in Houston that can hold 16,000 people — but he’s only just opened it up to Hurricane Harvey victims.
The pastor, who fell under intense scrutiny for how the situation was handled by Lakewood Church, has finally explained why he didn’t welcome people sooner.
He told CBS This Morning that many helpers couldn’t reach the church and the building is a flood risk.
Osteen explained: ‘Our doors have always been open.
