Jockey airlifted to hospital after falling from his horse at Hexham Racecourse
 

A jockey has been airlifted to hospital after falling from his horse during a race .
The Great North Air Ambulance was called after reports a jockey had been injured at Hexham Racecourse on Saturday.
Henry Brooke was riding Dante’s Way when he fell during the 2.25pm race at the meeting.
Racecourse officials stopped the race so the helicopter could land at the scene.
Witnesses said the jockey was still receiving treatment on the course around two hours after the fall.
Three ambulances were also called to the scene.
