Jobs, tourism, transport and business growth on Teesside to benefit from £15m boost
 

Teesside has today been handed a £15m boost to invest directly in the future of the area - creating jobs and growing prosperity.
Northern Powerhouse Minister Andrew Percy announced the transfer of the Government cash - the first payment from a total of £450m due over the next 30 years - through the region’s ground-breaking devolution deal.
The new Tees Valley Combined Authority will spend the cash, along with money from elsewhere, to deliver key elements of its economic plan.
The include skills training, education improvements, helping people find jobs and extending high speed broadband.... read more
