Jessica Ennis-Hill's 15-year-old application for SportsAid grant revealed as Team GB star retires



The application Jessica Ennis-Hill made for a SportsAid grant as a 15-year-old, 15 years ago, has been revealed by the organisation's Twitter account on the day the Team GB star announced her retirement.
In the 2001 letter Sheffield star Ennis-Hill reveals her long-term ambition to: 'compete in major championships'.
Since 1976, SportsAid has helped young athletes to overcome the financial obstacles they face in their bid to become Great Britain's next generation of Olympians, Paralympians and world champions.
