Jeremy Corbyn tells Labour: Be ready to fight an election and win power in 2017



Jeremy Corbyn put Labour on an election footing as he insisted he could become Prime Minister if his party united behind him.
In his speech closing Labour’s annual conference in Liverpool, he said: “I put our party on notice today, Labour is preparing for a general election in 2017.”
Labour would offer to renew the UK’s “creaking” infrastructure and give the nation better broadband, better rail services and more housing, he said.
