Jeremy Corbyn 'disturbed' over Nissan's warning to pull investment in Sunderland
 

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has said he is ‘disturbed’ by the announcement that car giant Nissan could cease investment in the region.
This week Nissan’s boss Carlos Ghosn said the company would not commit further investment in its Sunderland plant unless the UK Government pledged compensation for any extra costs as a result of Brexit.
Nissan builds around one in three of all of Britain’s total automotive output at Sunderland and employs nearly 7,000 people at the Wearside plant.
