James McCarthy injury: Everton boss Sam Allardyce reveals latest on horrific leg break
 

James McCarthy was taken off the field on a stretcher after what looked like a nasty injury following a tackle by West Brom striker Salomon Rondon.
And Everton boss Sam Allardyce has since confirmed the 27-year-old has suffered a double fracture of his tibia and fibula in his right leg and will miss the remainder of the season.
"It's a tibia and fibula fracture compounded. A very nasty injury," Allardyce said after the match.
The injury is a cruel blow for McCarthy who now faces yet another lengthy spell on the sidelines having just returned from a hamstring problem.
