Jailed thugs to be asked why they carried out horrific acid attacks

Researchers from the University of Leicester will interview criminals who have carried out acid attacks to find out what drove to carry out such horrific offences.
The university’s criminology department has been commissioned by the Home Office as part of a wider effort to understand and tackle the rising tide of disfiguring attacks.
The academics hope to question offenders about their motivations for their attacks as well as issues such how the substances were obtained.
