Jail for on-the-run paratrooper after he misses High Court hearing in row over failed telecoms firm 

A 78-year-old ex-paratrooper who is on the run in Europe after a multi-million pound bust-up over the failure of a cable company has been jailed for not turning up to a High Court hearing.
Guy Brooke fled the UK after a litigation funding business which gave him £1m launched legal proceedings against him.
Brooke, a former director of Dutch telecoms company Cable Plus (Netherlands) BV, which failed in 2013, received the money from Therium Capital Management. 
He planned to bring a professional negligence claim against his former firm after it lost its broadband licenses.
