Jackie McNamara steps down as manager of York City after 'unacceptable' run of results
 

JACKIE McNARAMA has stood down as manager of York City following a horror run of results.
The former Dundee United and Partick Thistle boss had agreed to end his 10-month reign with the National League club if they failed to get a "positive" result against Braintree on Saturday.
As it happed, an 89th minute penalty deprived York of three points and the 1-1 draw stretched their winless run to seven matches - which included last week's 6- hammering by bottom club Guiseley.
