Jackie McNamara insists York City players want him to stay on as manager
 

JACKIE McNAMARA has insisted he believes the York City players are desperate for him to stay on as boss of the National League side.
The former Dundee United manager also admitted it was HIS decision to release Wednesday's bizarre statement announcing he would resign if the club loses this weekend.
The Minstermen revealed McNamara would walk away if the club failed to "gain a positive result" in this weekend's clash with Braintree Town, following Tuesday night's 6-1 defeat to bottom side Guiseley.
