Jack-knifed lorry spills 100 litres of diesel on A5 near Tamworth



MOTORISTS are being warned of delays after a lorry jack-knifed and spilled around 100 litres of diesel on the carriageway near Tamworth today (Wednesday, September 28).
Highways England says it is working hard to re-open the A5 near Tamworth following the spillage shortly after midday between the A38 near Weeford and the A453.
The eastbound side of the road remains closed while the lorry is recovered.
Highways England is advising drivers to check the latest conditions before setting out and to allow extra time for their journeys if they are affected by this incident.
