Jack Hobbs' trainer John Gosden wary of threat from Almanzor in Qipco Champion Stakes



John Gosden believes comeback colt Jack Hobbs is up against the rival which has posted Europe’s best performance this season in Saturday’s Qipco Champion Stakes at Ascot and he does not mean Arc winner Found.
The Newmarket trainer has nominated French-trained Almanzor as the rival he fears most after his impressive display in the Irish Champion Stakes.
The Jean-Claude Rouget-trained colt, winner of the French Derby in June, blasted down the Leopardstown home straight that day to beat Found by three-quarters of a length.
