Italian PM BLASTS EU's stance on migrants and austerity in bid to win voters
 

The country's controversial referendum, which would reduce the size and power of the Italian Senate, giving more power to the Chamber of Deputies, will take place on December 4. 
The polls are too close to call so an anxious Mr Renzi is criticising Brussels and its migration policies and economic austerity in a bid to win over Eurosceptic voters. 
According to the International Organization for Migration, around 79,000 migrants arrived in Italy in the first six months of 2016, compared to the 70,305 of the previous year.
