'It's wrong we know more about Jedis than veterans' - County council backs Count Them In Campaign



Leicestershire county councillors have backed a Royal British Legion campaign to help identify veterans in the next census so they can be better supported in civilian life.
The Ministry of Defence says there are some 900,000 former military personnel in the UK but no means of pinpointing where they live.
The legion is pushing the Government to add a section to the 2021 census so charities and public services know where they need to direct their resources.
A motion supporting the Legions' 'Count Them In' campaign was approved at County Hall on Wednesday.
