ISIS last stand live streamed online as Iraqi forces invade Mosul to free thousands of trapped families

An Iraq-led military operation to recapture the city of Mosul - ISIS' last stronghold in the country - is being live streamed on the internet.
War in the digital age entered a new era with footage from the battleground being beamed to viewers' computers or devices at work or homes around the world.
Iraqi government and Kurdish forces - backed by the US-led coalition in the air and on the ground - have launched a mass attack on the northern city, which has been under ISIS rule for more than two years.
