Is Spotify damaging your hard drive? A bug that could harm computers may have been running for FIVE MONTHS

Spotify has issued a bug fix for a problem that could cause damage to a user's computer.
The music streaming service has inadvertently been bombarding users' hard drives with huge amounts of junk data for as long as five months, according to reports.
Constantly rewriting data, particularly on a solid-state drive, could drastically reduce its usual life expectancy.
