Is a new hole-in-the-wall explosions gang targeting Merseyside's ATMs?



Explosives have been used to raid three Merseyside cash machines in five weeks, sparking the possibility a new ATM gang is operating in the area.
Earlier this year the latest group of bank machine thieves were handed jail terms after being busted for their reckless blowing up of cash machines.
But a spate of similar incidents suggests a new outfit could be responsible for dangerous explosions intended to rip apart the ATMs.
In the early hours of September 1 a cash machine was blown open when thieves targeted an ATM in St Helens.
