Irvine Meadow chairman Robert Jeffrey today claimed the club had no choice but to sack Ross Wilson after a backlash from fans, players and sponsors.
Wilson was relieved of his duties on Monday night two days after a 4-3 defeat at Cambuslang Rangers left Medda languishing in the bottom half of the Super First Division.
The defeat was Meadow's third in six league games. They haven't picked up a league win since August 28 when they beat 10-man Shettleston 2-1 at home.
