Irish Turf Club to review caution issued to Davy Russell for appearing to punch Kings Dolly on the head

The Irish Turf Club has asked its appeals body to review its decision to only issue a caution to jump jockey Davy Russell for the incident where he appeared to punch his mount at Tramore on August 18.
The Turf Club, which has faced criticism over the penalty from animal welfare organisations, said its request was 'on the grounds that it was unduly lenient'.
Russell was caught on TV striking Kings Dolly, who had approached a practice flight before the Flynn Hotel Group Mares Handicap Hurdle not under control.
The incident was missed on the night but caused uproar on social media.
